Peppermint Twist and Conquering Mountains! from Humble Quilts


Here is my Peppermint Twist machine quilted! The center toile was left open so I will need to hand quilt in that area. I'm not quite ready to share any more YET! 


All 4 of us on the summit of Mount Saint Helens. It was a beast!

I did a lot of training with my daughter this summer and she was a big encourager. Because of her head injury she told me later hiking with a headlamp the first 45 minutes was a challenge for her brain. It never even crossed our minds that may be a problem.

Jo's Variety Album from Log Cabin Quilter

A quilt top finish.  "Jo's Variety Album".  The pattern is in Jo Morton's quilt book called "For All Seasons".  It measures about 50 inches by 50 inches.  I left off the last border which would have only added about 3 inches more to the quilt.  It would not have made the quilt good for a sofa throw and it makes a larger wall hanging as is.  I will bind the quilt in red after it is quilted.

Parkersburg Quilt and Celebrating Mary Brown Update from Log Cabin Quilter

A bird blck for my "Celebrating Mary Brown" quilt.  Last month I shared a picture of the upper left corner section.  The bird block is the next block in the top row.  I am not fond of the leaf right behind the bird wing but that is the pattern design. Some of the other sew-along participants will be sharing their blocks.  Some will get going when they have recuperated from surgery or the need to fabric shop first.
